1. Auditor Dashboard (/dashboard/auditor)

Upon logging in on your mobile browser, your dashboard displays your assigned inspection queue:

  • Assigned Audits List: Automatically sorted by deadline urgency (closest deadline first). Missed or overdue audits are highlighted at the top in red.
  • KPI Metrics: Total completed audits and your average compliance score across all past assignments.
  • Audit Lock Guard: If an audit is scheduled for a future date, you cannot start it early. The system unlocks the inspection when the scheduled start time arrives.

2. Conducting an Inspection (/auditor/audits/[id])

Tap any unlocked audit to enter the focused inspection engine:

Answering Questions

  • Binary (Yes / No): Tap Yes for compliant conditions or No for non-compliance.
  • Rating Scales (1 to 10): Tap the appropriate numeric box on the 1–10 grid.
  • Notes Field: Enter concise, factual context explaining the finding.
  • Progression Gate: If a question has the PHOTO REQUIRED badge, the Next Question button remains locked until at least one photo is captured and uploaded.

3. Using the In-App Camera

When taking evidence photos:

  1. Tap Launch Camera.
  2. If prompted, allow your browser camera permission.
  3. Align the subject within the on-screen corner viewfinder guides.
  4. Camera Flip: Tap the camera flip icon to switch between front and rear cameras.
  5. Tap the capture button. The image is automatically compressed, un-mirrored, and uploaded directly to encrypted storage.
  6. A thumbnail appears on the question card confirming successful upload.

4. Draft Auto-Save & Abort Guardrails

  • Automatic Draft Saving: Your answers, notes, and photos save continuously as you progress. If your mobile phone runs low on battery, or you need to step away, your responses are preserved.
  • Accidental Exit Guard: If you accidentally swipe back or tap an exit link, a confirmation prompt offers three clear options:
    • Continue Auditing (stay on the screen)
    • Save and Leave (commit all current answers to resume later)
    • Exit Without Saving (discard unsaved modifications)

5. Final Geolocation Lock & Submission

When all questions are answered, tap Review & Submit:

  1. Audiment queries your device's high-accuracy GPS coordinates (navigator.geolocation).
  2. GPS Prerequisite: If location permissions are blocked, submission is aborted, and a prompt guides you to enable location access.
  3. Once coordinates are validated, your responses are permanently recorded, scores are computed, and any critical failures automatically dispatch CAPA alerts to the store manager.
